This 1941 Chevy pickup was added to our museum collection in 2004 after a thorough body-off restoration by the previous owner. It was a low rust project brought to Texas from South Dakota. Every single item was completely removed, stripped to bare metal, rebuilt, replaced, or re-chromed, and repainted. It was repainted in the original colors of Brewster green with black fenders and running boards. The cowl band is painted the original Kildare green with an Emerald green pinstripe. The steel wheels were repainted with the original dual pinstripes and the chrome hubcaps have the red & blue painted inserts.
This AK series (Art Deco style) pickup has been displayed in our museum, kept in running and reliable condition, and serviced as necessary. It has been driven sparingly, but regularly, since owned with only 1,700 miles in the last 20 years.
